Keeping America’s Natural Gas Infrastructure Moving

Much of the energy conversation focuses on what happens at the source or when it gets to its final destination where gas is being used to provide the energy needed for everyday life. Less attention is given to the infrastructure that makes energy movement possible. For natural gas to travel efficiently from production sites to where it is needed, compression plays an essential role. As natural gas moves through gathering systems and pipelines, pressure can gradually decline, limiting how far and how efficiently it can travel. Compression equipment restores that pressure, helping maintain steady flow across long distances and through changing operating conditions, making it a critical part of the broader energy network. For natural gas compression providers, performance is measured where it matters most: in the field. Archrock has maintained strong operating momentum in 2026, supported by steady customer demand, disciplined execution and a market backdrop in which reliable compression remains central to the U.S. natural gas value chain. That momentum is visible across the company’s operating base. At the end of the second quarter, Archrock operated approximately 4.5 million horsepower across a fleet increasingly weighted toward larger units serving long-lived production, gathering and midstream applications. Utilization remained in the mid-90% range, extending a multi-quarter track record of tight fleet availability and resilient demand for compression services.

OGM Partners

Guiding Mineral Development Beyond the Lease

Rob Greiner, Director of Land

When Rob Greiner, John Catsonis and Daniel Cooper established OGM Partners in 2021, their goal was to create a mineral leasing company rooted in the communities they knew best. The founders live and work alongside many of the landowners they serve across eastern Ohio and neighboring areas, keeping OGM Partners closely connected to the people and communities at the center of its work. As a non-operator, OGM Partners works with landowners to negotiate lease terms and then collaborates with operators to place the leased acreage into drilling units. Acting as a link between both sides, OGM Partners connects landowners with operators capable of developing their leased acreage while ensuring landowners remain informed throughout the process. After the lease is signed, it remains available as a direct point of contact, helping landowners with questions about royalty payments, lease provisions or future development. “We’re willing to put in the work and do what’s necessary to earn our clients’ trust,” says Greiner, director of land.

Habhegger

Building the Next Century of Fuel Handling Innovation

Chris Hagman, President, Jody Porter, VP of Sales, and Pete Hojnowski, Branch Manager

For nearly a century, Habhegger has represented something far greater than a traditional distributor. The company has built its reputation on a belief that a distributor should be a true technical partner—one that understands complex challenges, delivers precise solutions, and stands beside customers when reliability matters most. Founded in 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, E.O. Habhegger began with a foundation rooted in engineering discipline, problem-solving, and a commitment to helping customers overcome difficult operational challenges. Founder Elmer Otto Habhegger studied engineering and mathematics at the University of Wisconsin before enlisting at age 21 in the Army Medical Corps, where he served as a sergeant at Base Hospital No. 22 and was deployed to France during World War I. That experience shaped the company’s future. Managing supply chains and pressurized fluid systems in demanding conditions required precision, organization, and mechanical understanding. The logistical discipline Elmer developed in the field became the foundation for the company that would later emerge as a trusted resource for fuel handling equipment and solutions.

KAOH Media Enterprises

Before You Break Ground, Build Trust

A utility-scale energy project can have secured land, ample technical studies, and strong financing, but still stumble at a county hearing. Nearby residents may worry about land preservation, construction traffic, emergency response plans, or whether the promised economic benefits will actually reach their community. If developers begin listening only after an application is filed, the conversation may already be defined by distrust. The permitting landscape is more difficult than ever, facing headwinds at the federal level while navigating a patchwork of state and local requirements and increasingly sophisticated opposition movements. A September 2026 report from Columbia University’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law identified 888 state and local restrictions on renewable energy development, including 865 adopted locally. It also documented 567 projects that had faced significant local opposition. These findings illuminate a reality familiar to KAOH Media: national energy strategy is ultimately tested in local communities. KAOH combines expertise in permitting, public affairs, and community engagement to build local trust and to move critical infrastructure projects forward. Its approach places local intelligence and relationship-building on equal footing with land acquisition, engineering, and regulatory planning, recognizing that community support is just as important to project success as technical execution.
